01 / The approach
A useful drawing answers a question.
Will there be enough space behind the dining chairs? How does a pergola relate to the house? What will the pool look like from the main windows? A plan and a 3D view answer different parts of those questions.
We use the design review to examine the layout and discuss changes. A rendering communicates an idea; the agreed drawings, specifications, and construction scope establish what is to be built. Plant maturity, lighting, and material appearance can differ from a visualization.

Discussion of surfaces, planting, structures, and equipment alongside the layout. Samples and specifications remain useful even when a feature has been visualized.
Revisions & coordination
Review and refine the design before construction. The design agreement sets out the drawings provided, included revisions, and information to be passed to the builder.

Is a 3D rendering the same as a construction drawing?
No. A 3D rendering shows how a proposed space could look. Construction drawings and specifications describe the dimensions, materials, and details needed to build the agreed design.
Can a layout be revised before construction?
Yes. Reviewing and refining the layout is part of the design discussion. The design agreement should identify the revisions and deliverables included.
Does every project need engineered or permit drawings?
Requirements depend on the site and work proposed. Structures, pools, grading, and other elements may need specialist drawings or approvals. These needs must be established for the specific project.
